Why Greet AI asks for Google Calendar access

If you choose to connect a Google Calendar, Greet AI checks it for free time before offering a caller an appointment, and writes the confirmed appointment onto it. That is the only thing calendar access is used for. Connecting a calendar is optional, and you can disconnect it at any time.
